GDP026

I find it really hard to make cards for guys, particularly guys in the late teens through to about middle age bracket. Younger boys can often be impressed with cartoons or images that appeal to their interest (cars, dinosaurs etc) Older gentlemen can be matched with nice classic images and muted tones. But unless you know a guy pretty well, it can be hard to find an image or design.

Following a sketch is a great idea if you are stuck for a design, and this sketch by Teneale Williams is the inspiration for this weeks Global Design Project.

I decided to simply use a sentiment stamp in place of the embellishment, which alleviated the need to try to find an image. The paper (from the Shine On suite) is bright, with a simple polka dot design, balanced with the more muted smaller metallic polka dots on the reverse side.

The "congrats" sentiment is from the Perfect Pairings set, one of the many FREE sets included in the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

Do you live in Australia? Do you love free craft products? Until March 31st you get a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration catalogue for every $90 you spend! Click SHOP NOW in the sidebar to start earning your free rewards.

Thanks for popping by my blog today! Make sure you check out all the other great projects inspired by Teneale's sketch.

Have a great day, Em
