Retired Product- Crazy Crafters Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to my blog. You will have just come from one of the other Crazy Crafters blogs, aren't they all a talented bunch! Make sure you click on the link below to continue in the hop, there are sure to be plenty of ideas and inspiration.

This week Stampin'Up! announced their retiring products, an event that always causes mixed emotions. We are sad to see products go, but also excitedly anticipating all the new goodies that must be coming in the next catalogue.

If you see anything in this hop that you love, make sure you get your hands on it fast, as all retired products are now only whilst stocks last.

For the hop I made this fun and simple card, with the Brights Collection as my inspiration.

The papers are from the Brights Backgrounds Designer Series Paper, now down to $18.98AUD! There are 40 sheets in the pack, so that works out at only 47c a sheet. The inks have not been retired, so this is a great buy that will coordinate with products for a long time to come!

I used a butterfly stamp from the Sale-a-bration set Natures Perfection, which coordinates perfectly with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. For a similar butterfly in a current set, Papillion Potpourri is great.

The thankyou sentiment comes from the Cheers to Love set, and is stamped on Whisper White, with a Basic Black cardstock mat.

You may also noticed I have drawn around the edges of the butterflies with a black pen. This is a great way to make them pop off the page, and helps them to stand out against the busy background.

Feel free to come back and visit later in the week, as I plan on posting a project using retired products each day this week.

Thanks for stopping by...

Em

  1. What a great card! It's so pretty and it would be a great way to use up some offcuts as well.
