Crazy Crafters Blog Hop: Theme: New Sale-a-bration Products

Hi all. Thanks for joing our blog hop.

As soon as I saw the new Sale-a-bration goodies I just couldn't wait to get my hands on them! I love all of the new products but especially the Sheer Perfection Vellum, I think its my favourite Sale-a-bration product this year.

I have used 3 of the new products on this card, the "Sheer Perfection Vellum" (pocket, trim and ruffle), the "For Being You" stamp set ('Thanks' and 'for being you' sentiments) and the "Natures Perfection" stamp set (the flower). I also used a paper from the first Sale-a-bration release, the "Irresistibly Yours" paper (lower portion of the card, with 'Hello Honey' ink applied over the top in a water colour technique)

I coloured the THANKS sentiment (which is stamped on Whisper White Cardstock) using Pistachio Pudding Ink and a water colour technique. I coloured the flower image using the end of a pencil (with eraser) to dob the ink on straight from the pad.

So... are you wondering what that pocket is all about? I took inspiration from the 'nature' theme running through the Sale-a-bration products, so I added some flower seeds to the pocket. That way when my friend receives the card, she can remove the pocket, plant the seeds and watch them grow!

To ensure the seeds don't escape until my friend is ready to plant them, I used thin tape to bind the edges of the pocket, and then blanket stitched for decorative purposes.

I chose yellow as my theme colour (I used "Hello Honey") as it is the colour of Endometriosis Awareness Month which runs for the whole of March.

I hope you have enjoyed my card, keep clicking on the links to see all of the arty awesomeness from the Crazy Crafters.

Next up is Carolina

And remember, the Sale-a-bration products are only available until the end of this month, so get your orders in soon :)

Love, Emilie

  1. I love so much about this card! There's the beautiful thought behind the flower seeds (literally watching friendship grow), to the freshness and cheerfulness of the design! You may have converted me to Hello Honey!
